We teamed up with Mark Stepp at UpperCut Media to create a fresh graphics package for the Charlotte Hornets. The plan was to take their classic 2D logo, push it into 3D, and surround it with a whole system of sharp, modern sports graphics. Hexagons (their brand) became the visual backbone—clean, geometric, and just aggressive enough to feel like a pro basketball team that means business.

Like a lot of creative projects, this one didn’t travel in a straight line. It got delayed, restarted, and the plans shifted more than once along the way. No hard feelings. That’s just how these things sometimes go. In the middle of all the stops and starts we still got to design wipes, stingers (yes, we noticed the pun), transitions, and a full suite of on-air elements. The process stayed fun even when the schedule didn’t cooperate.

In the end we delivered a solid set of graphics, got paid, and walked away with another good collaboration under our belts. Sometimes the path is messy. The work still looks good on screen, and that’s what matters.
